Women's Southeastern Challenge Match
The 8th Women’s Southeastern Challenge Match will take place in Alabama in 2028. The event highlights 8-woman teams representing Alabama, Florida and Georgia. Each team consists of four amateurs and four senior amateurs (age 50+) selected by their state golf association. The Women's Southeastern Challenge Match takes place every other year (even years).

Team Selection Criteria
Selection Process
- The AGA selects an eight player team to represent Alabama in this biannual competition against Florida and Georgia consisting of four (4) Senior Women Amateurs (50 and older) and four (4) Amateur women (19 and over) of which no more than one (1) can be age 18 and under (18 and under players will be by Committee selection).
- The team selections include:
- (1) 2028 Women's State Amateur Champion
- (1) 2028 Senior Women’s State Amateur Champion
- (1) Senior Women’s Amateur player with the highest point total from the Senior Women’s Rankings as of date July 14
- (2) Senior Women’s Amateur players selected by the AGA Championship Committee
- (1) Players (age 19 and over) with the highest point totals from the Women’s Amateur Rankings as of date July 14
- (1) Junior players (age 18 and under) selected by the AGA Championship Committee
- (1) Players selected by the AGA Championship Committee
